Episode 2: Second love, more love
Hai Lin left the bliss bracelet to Xi Wei and left him. While being transported to the ambulance You Xi told the medical attendance that she is his high school friend. There is a blast in the second floor, and Hai Lin ankle hurt buy the broken glass. She loss consciousness. Both Hai Lin and Xi Wei cross each other path at the hospital corridor. Hai Lin woke up to a injured anke, she told her mom that she need to get up to practice for the upcoming rehearsal. But Hai Lin told her that she did not need to practice anymore, doctor say with her ankle hurt badly she would not be able to dance anymore in the future. Only then she realised the wise-old man saying about her precious thing in life, ballet dancing life. You Xi replace Hai Lin for the international ballet group.
The scene tell us that she visited places that hold their memories, reminiscing those old times when they are both together.. She blew a birthday cake, and her last wish "I hope the one I love, forever will be happy"
Hai Lin work multiple job from giving out flyer, delivering pizzas, waitress etc.. Hai Lin watched You Xi perform on the stage instead of her, tears streaming down her cheeks but manage to clap for her sister. This time press ask You Xi "Can you tell me the condition to become your boyfriend". You Xi replied: "My boyfriend he is someone very powerful and great ability, most importantly he is someone I can look up to". Hai Lin watching from the back remember what she told the press and flashback.
2013, Then we end up on christmas eve, Hai Lin is working over time to hold a party. Fei Fei (Hai Lin peer) announces that today tornado will welcome a new general manager from the company that backup them all along. Fei Fei ask her what is she thinking? Her heart is wondering around. Hai Lin say to herself that to day is the day, she lost Xi Wei.
Xi Wei then enter the function hall, Hai Lin is surprised to see him and learn that he is the new general manager. After giving speech, You Xi walked in with a injured feet. Xi Wei concern and ask You Xi why come to the part while she should be at home, recuperation. Xi Wei attend You Xi and massage her feet and the press photo non-stop, firing them with question in regard of their relationship. Then You Xi apologise to Xi Wei for coming, then Xi Wei announces that indeed they are in relationship and will be getting married soon.
Hai Lin feeling devastated, trying to leave the venue accidentally knock down the vase and hurt her palm. Xi Wei rush over and ask them if anything happened. Hai Lin stand in-front of the christmas tree and flash back to the time they spend together. Xi Wei come and told that actually christmas is not as romantic as they thought to be. And Hai Lin complete the sentences.
Fei Fei told Hai Lin that every year she anticipated this day the most hoping that someone will come out but every year pass by with disappointment. Hai Lin then say that every year she is most afraid of today, because the most sweet yet the most painful thing happened today. Hai Lin ask Fei Fei if two people with fate that they cannot meet, finally meet what will happened? Fei Fei ask back what a weird question. Hai Lin than say that if all along you hide from a person because you know that you will bring bad luck to that person what will you do? Fei Fei reply then hide, the further you can hide then the further you hide, or not the effort that you put all long will be a waste.
Xi Wei on the way home asked You Xi if her feet is alright after standing the whole day, apologising that she hurt her feet to buy his grandfather presents. You Xi told Xi Wei that she feel his grandfather did not like her very much, what happened if grandfather oppose the marriage. Xi Wei reassure her that he is the one who is getting married, and he told her that she is his life saviour therefore he will not forget the good she did. Felling bad, You Xi told Xi Wei not to wear that bracelet anymore, Xi Wei reply that this is the first present she gave him, he will always wear it as if he will forever keep her in heart *?*.
Hai Lin staying at company dorm, and she think over what she wants. Before she hope that how good will it be if she meet him again, but then today after meeting him she just realise that she could not be that selfish coz she could not handle that “what if" again, and since for five years they have been strangers then they will keep as it is.
Next morning newspaper, article about You Xi and Xi Hai surface. People calling You Xi mother non-stop since early in the morning, congratulating her and envying her at the same time. Her mom ask You Xi how is your feet, and You Xi reply that actually you know nothing is wrong with my feet. Mom told You Xi good that she pull out this trick, but she say be careful of the woman around Xi Hai or he will end up like her father.
Ya Li and Xi Wei pay a visit to Tornado HQ and ask to gather for a meeting. Xi Wei throw a bunch of question at the worker and not satisfied with their ideas, until Hai Lin remember the time Xi Wei propose to her and say "Only One". Xi Wei asked can she elaborate more and Hai Lin say "becoming the only one is more important than being number one"
Everyone is leaving to grab some lunch, Hai Lin left behind to type out her resignation letter. Hai Lin meet with Xi Wei in front of the lift. While filling their plate for lunch, Hai Lin see last piece of egg roll and remember those time that she make egg roll for Xi Wei since he love it so much since childhood. Xi Wei comeback to grab the last egg roll but give to Hai Lin, but Hai Lin say no problem since you like it so much. He ask how come she know did she hear from You Xi, and Hai Lin reply no she say like that since he comeback for more egg roll.
Hai Lin: Did you always eat so late? it is not good for the body.
Xi Wei: Did you care so much because of You Xi, if yes then no need to be that polite since we are at work.
Hai Lin: Did you think I am trying to establish some connection with you? If I make you feel uncomfortable I am sorry, I don't have any intention. Also I have submitted my resignation.
One of Hai Lin peer inform her than general manager wish to see her at his office. She ask why she want to resign from this company? She told him that she just feel this job did not suit her at all, but Xi Wei reply that her peer even think did her job perfectly fine. and asked her to give a more reasonable reason to quit and ask her she quit on his first day of becoming GM, did she quit because is not satisfied with him, she can't reply, so Xi Wei take it as a yes.
You xi just barge in w/o even knocking the door, and plead to Hai Lin not to quit, acting out like a good sister. Xi Wei say he would not stop her if she is persistent, but think it again and give him the answer tomorrow.
You Xi told Hai Lin to stop calling her big sister, since she did know approve and recognize her of being little sister as she is from a misterss. You Xi come to remind her not to follow her mom step to become a mistress. Hai Lin reassure her that noting such as that thing will happened. But You Xi try to rub in the wound, telling Hai Lin that she is not that sure something like that won't happened in the future since she have the blood of mistress flowing inside her.
Hai Lin ask her mother you love dad for so long, give up so much, but he end up only able to accompany you eating and strolling around are you satisfied with this? Mom reply her that at first no but as she get older she can think more open and by seeing him happy she is happy. She only wish she will be helpful to her dad so she can take some burden off him.
Later that night, Hai Lin went to the park and dance for a few children. A boy asked her whether she can do the ballet dance spinning. So she said yes and start performing despite her injured ankle, but she fall and Xi Wei come for rescue. Hai Lin asked why GM come here, and he asked her back late at night still at the park teaching kids dancing and did you learn ballet? She said yes during high school, but then later on she stop dancing since she hurt her ankle. Xi Wei ask how did you heart you feet and did you every wish to dance again? Hai Lin say in life their is many thing to do other than just dancing. Xi Wei asked did she still want to quit, and she told him no. Xi Wei asked why? Hai Lin say because she's is looking at the place that fit her, since she hurt her leg she change her job non-stop but none fit her, and he told her that the company need someone like her, therefore she think that she maybe able to help. Also, she want to see him how he make the company successful.
After saying goodbye, she feel pain and Xi Wei asked her if her feet was alright and offer some help but she reject it. But give in when Xi Wei told her not to be persistent and told her to see doctor tomorrow.
My opinion:
How I wish, she did not turn the time back to before love (5yrs ago), can't she just ask for the day or a week before? Some say because it is fate, so it cannot be broke.. Okay accept, anyway I don't understand how this kind of so called fate work (did you?).. But one thing I know, I pity Hai Lin coz she is the only one who have that five year memories, while the others have none. It is very cruel world for Hai Lin, if only she also forget those memories how good will it be? But then there will be no story tell right? Okay lah scriptwriter do whatever you want.. Just don't make me cry like crazy or non-stop cursing..
I curse nonstop after the first quarter (2013 christmas eve party), therefore I keep wishing Xi Wei did actually die. Either way it is too painful for Hai Lin to handle, he die or he live but love other woman.
Anyway can't Hai Lin approach Xi Wei now that he have passed his "judgement day" safe and sound? *HAHA!! Should stop at correcting things that will give no story plot*
See that face expression of You Xi? I hope she can never have a good deep sleep and will always be haunted by the fact that she is not the one who save him. But I guess she won't have that kind of conscience.
