Episode 12: You're my Lu Xi Wei

Ya Li inform Xi Wei that their competitor Buffalo is marketing a new bike design exactly like theirs but at a half price. Everyone is aware of the news including Hai Lin. Hai Lin become anxious about Xi Wei current condition since Tornado stock price is falling and told Qi Xiang that she will be leaving for a while, but Qi Xiang told her that she's his employee and remind her the reason why she is leaving the company that time and told her that not to let the past effect her mood. Qi Xiang give her some work to distract her from her worries.

Xi Wei is being called to face chairman (g-pa) and vice-chairman (uncle/ Xiang Kai father). The chairman say that from the directors meeting they agree that the presentation is a joke and added with today news the directors agree to sell Tornado. Xi Wei beg g-pa to give him 3months and he will revive the company and that this is his fathers dreams and everything. G-pa told Xi Wei then that he would told the buyer to keep Xi Wei at his current position, but Xi Wei say that being GM is not what he wants he did not want Tornado not to have any relationship with Lu group since it's his dad hard work. G-pa then give him two option for him to walk one to sell the company and one to find a new professional manager to replace him. Xi Wei then ask what if he can repaid all the one year lost in just the first three months of the year, and g-pa ask how. Xi Wei told g-pa that their bike is being design by Xi Qiang and if they can prove that Buffalo copy theirs then the compensation can cover the year loss and ask if he can let him stay for another month. The vice-chairman reject it flatly that it's impossible since a few directors have been recombining other professional manager, and told Xi Wei to quite temporarily first then investigate.

Xi Wei and Ya Li bid their farewell with Tornado employees, Tornado employee give him all sorts of encouragement for him not to give-up on such a small failure. After Xi Wei and Ya Li lift closed  few secs later Hai Lin appear and ask Fei Fei where is GM. Fei Fei break the news that Xi Wei is being forced to leave the company.

G-pa received a visitation from Ms Xu, at first he's unhappy only to learn it's Hai Lin then all of a sudden smile flashing all over his face. G-pa ask if she's worry about Xi Wei that's why she come and Hai Lin say yes and told him that making their own brand at first there's a lot of risk and just because of one mistake how can they change the professional manager. G-pa told her that professional manager biggest responsibility should know not to make the company in deficit and Xi Wei study abroad so he should know the company system when trying to establish its own brand. G-pa also told her that Xi Wei is ambitious that he say he can used 3months to repaid the lost year and then he will be able to return to his rightful place. G-pa say she really care about Xi Wei and ask if she did have feelings for him and he hope that Hai Lin will be able to become his granddaughter-in-law.

During Hai Lin way out she saw Jason wanted to meet with vice-chairman.. Hai Lin just keep staring then thinking*?*..

Xi Wei back at his study, sitting looking at his stuffed that's being cleared out from his office.. Taking a bicycle model, he say sorry to his dad.

Qi Xiang bring Hai Lin to do follow-up checkup. While Hai Lin gone to do some checkup, Qi Xiang ask if Hai Lin is getting better since if she get headache it seems very terrible. The doctor tell him that there'r no much danger but advice him that there should not be any big emotion/mood-swing since emotion effect recovery process and every time she come she look very pale, and ask if he's Hai Lin boyfriend and advise him to take care of her better.

Xi Wei go to the factory and one of the employee getting very angry that the factory is being closed down by people higher up in the raking and employee is being told to go rest because the product is not selling well. The employee say that they have spend their entire life dedicated to Tornado, he also believe and help him when XI Wei say they'r going to make their own bicycle cause he can't wait for that day but now how can he raise his family now if something like this happened. Xi Wei then say that the factory will be back on track again since there's nominees for his replacement. Then the employee say that he will believe him this last time and hope that XI Wei will not make him disappointed.

Hai Lin Google news about Tornado, looking concerned at the news. At this time Qi Xiang notice it and then his smartphone beep and there's Hai Lin birthday reminder. He call Hai Lin into his office telling her to come with him to design exchange dinner for tomorrow and told her to wear something pretty since it's giving him some face.

Qi Xiang preparing at the venue thinking everything he can like the food ingredients then the sits since it's too close to air conditioner. Qi Xiang also prepare gifts and try to play the piano for the performance later on with Beautiful ost piece. Back at home, Hai Lin trying all sorts of clothes that finally she ends up with a dress and a cardigan.

We then see that Ya Li is trying to reach Xi Wei but Xi Wei handphone is not activated for days. Ya Li went to Hai Lin house asking if Xi Wei contact her. Hai Lin say no and ask what happened, and Ya Li told her that Xiang Kai say that Xi Wei have not gone home for a couple of days. Hai Lin ask Ya Li if he had looked over places Xi Wei normally go and then remember there is one more place that she meet her a few times. Hai Lin left together with Ya Li but left her phone behind.. Hai Lin and Ya Li split ways looking for Xi Wei, then we see Qi Xiang still waiting for Hai Lin while smiling. Then we keep getting scene Hai Lin looking for Xi Wei and Qi Xiang looking at his watch each time getting more unhappy.

Qi Xiang sitting at a bar flashback to Hai Lin and his employee about making their own bicycle and also g-pa word. Qi Xiang wait till the waitress inform him that the restaurant is about to close and ask if he still need the piano. Qi Xiang say hess and *ithink* he play a different piece from the one he practice before this one is more to sad and resentment tunes. Xi Wei sit at the place he used to meet Hai Lin and recall once that Hai Lin told him about the boat thing, and Hai Lin see him drinking and took the bottle away. Xi Wei ask what is she doing here and told her to tell Ya Li that he's doing good. Hai Lin ask if he's doing good how come the whole world is not able to find him, and re replied that she have see him and ask her to leave and say that the dress prettily. Hai Lin admit that she's going to work dinner but unable to attend anymore. Xi Wei say "Is it because of me? I feel really useless to drag Tornado employee drown the drain and even the resign employee." Hai Lin ask what had really happened, and Xi Wei told her about the factory condition.

Hai Lin try to comfort Xi Wei and Xi Wei replied angrily "I do not need your comfort, because the comfort you give me make me feel even more useless."
Hai Lin: "You'r brave enough to make your father design come true, just because of small small setback you're giving up? Did you know how many people is waiting for you, have you think about it? If you also give up, then how about them? G-pa for sure is waiting for you, use your own strength to stand up. Me too."
Xi Wei: "You also?", Hai Lin nod and he laugh then cry..
Xi Wei: "Is it because of your ex-boyfriend? You helped me again and again, touched me again and again, at last can only drop a sentence I look like your dead ex-boyfriend. Xu Hai Lin do you feel it's fair for me?"
Hai Lin: "Listen to my explanation"

Xi Wei: "I did not want to hear your explanation, please don't let me become other people projection. Because I, I do not need your concern. Return my alcohol." and Xi Wei fall down the steps into the pond. Hai Lin keep on Xi Wei Xi We..
Xi Wei: " You go home, I'm not your ex-boyfriend please do not mistaken it"
Hai Lin hug him and say "You have always been my Lu Xi Wei, I know. I beg you cheat up quickly. I will always be by your side okay?"
Xi Wei: "Is it real?"
Hai Lin: "it's real, it's always real." And they hugged each other tightly.

Hai Lin bring Xi Wei home, Hai Lin wipe him dry and then Hai Lin try to stand Xi Wei up to undress him and change to his dry clothes Xi Wei fall above her and this scene is being witness by Xiang Kai which is being captured by him. After Xi Wei is being put on bed, Xiang Kai ask where they go drink and say that they played crazily until whole body drenched. Hai Lin told him not to speak nonsense and told him that she just help Ya Li after hearing it. Xiang Kai then say something must be going on with them until Xi Wei get rid of You Xi. Hai Lin then say there's really nothing between them and told him not to say nonsense.

Hai Lin walk home alone, thinking is she say something like this is doing good towards Xi Wei.. But then hope because of the word she say to Xi Wei he can cheer up.

Xi Wei wake up and remember the convo he had with Hai Lin..

Hai Lin went to the office and explain to Qi Xiang what happened, but Qi Xiang did not talk to her and later on hand her job over to another employee. At last Hai Lin say that last night she's wrong and agree to be scold but not to be ignored. Qi Xiang then told her feeling being ignore is not good right and this is what he's feeling last night.  Hai Lin say she know and she's sorry. QI Xiang give her one minute to give him satisfactory reason and Hai Lin told him. Qi Xiang flare up at Xi Wei name and say why he's being idiot at helping her being angry. Hai Lin say she's really worried. Qi Xiang ask "You worried about him, then I'm not worried about you?" Qi Xiang ask is she cannot because of Xi Wei every time apologise to him and ask if she understand his feelings, and Xi Wei show up.

Xi Wei ask if there's any misunderstanding between them because of him, and Qi Xiang ask why he come. Xi Wei say that he come not to look for Hai lin but rather to talk with Qi Xiang. Xi Wei say that he come to resolve the problem that Tornado face. Xi Wei say that he come to ask him to work together again to become witness that Buffalo design is copying his design. Qi Xiang say that it's not hard to give statement that it's his work but talk later on when QI Xiang can find Buffalo design. Qi Xiang say then it's his turn to make request, "Go home and ask your PA not to harass Hai Lin, if he cannot find you then ask your fiancee don't come and ask my girlfriend." Xi Wei then told Qi Xiang that he broke up with You Xi already, and Qi Xiang ask if it's not because she lied to him and she's not his live saviour and say that if it's the reason then his love is cheap.. Xi Wei say whatever the reason is as long as he's clear then it's enough, he did not need to explain it to Qi Xiang. Qi Xiang say he also did not want to hear but remind him to keep his distance away from Hai Lin.

Xi Wei left and Hai Lin come and ask if he come to discuss regarding the bicycle problem, Xi Wei explain briefly what he discuss with QI Xiang. Hai Lin then say looking at him right now make her feeling more peaceful and told him to remember that every decision he make it's brave and just because of small small setback don't just himself negatively. Xi Wei thank her and feel bad for her to look at his embarrassed state last night, and ask if the words she said last night is true.  Hai Lin say of course, and Xi Wei say no matter what hardship e face in the future he will never forget the embrace and the encouragement she give him. Hai Lin then being called in by Qi Xiang. Hai Lin then told him to Jia You (put his effort all in).

Qi Xiang then eating his food happily, when suddenly You Xi coming with her smartphone showing the photo Qi Xiang took earlier..

My Opinion:

I'm grateful that Qi Xiang look after Hai Lin so well and think on behalf of Hai Lin, but on the other hand I just did not like how he declare his ownership(?) over Hai Lin.. Well if they want then they have to complete fairly, having all the right information.. For me this episode is quite slow and I for me it's not to par the expectation I have when the preview is being released throughout the week, that is one of the factors why I put up the recap quite late. I love how G-pa told Hai Lin to tell him if she did have feelings for Xi Wei, perhaps he's trying to match-make Xi Wei and Hai Lin if so I'll be more than happy since Xi Wei is officially single. Dear writer please just don't tell me on the next episode that the recommended professional manager is Lu Xiang Kai.. I'll throw my slipper at the screen aiming on his face..
